POP band Čao Portorož with the new juicy video single Peter!

Good news! POP vinyl are back in stock! Get them at KAPA Records Bandcamp.
Even better news! Here is the brand new video single Peter – in a slightly shorter version, which is even sweeter than before.

Independent artist Tadej Vaukman made a home diy video, which is spiced up with his direct style. We will not waste words. It’s best to see Tadej, well – Peter yourself.

“Peter” is the sixth track on the third studio album POP, which was released last year and had its premiere at the February edition of the MENT Ljubljana festival.

The Croatian music portal Muzika.hr ranked POP among the “top 10” from the wider region, and the international portal Beehype among the “top 10” from Slovenia.

“The lyrics are generally simple and sometimes pointless, but I have the impression that this music doesn’t need an excessively higher meaning because it primarily offers an energy bomb. The best example of this is certainly the song “Peter”, in which the verses are constantly repeated with only minor changes.” Siniša Miklaužić, Muzika.hr

Čao Portorož are Ivian Kan Mujezinović (bass, synth, vocals), Gregor Andolšek (guitar, bass, vocals), Anže Petrič (guitar) and Aljoša Cetinski (drums). United in 2009 for late-night jam sessions on Fridays, they first performed in local clubs, made a small Slovenian tour with Klubski Maraton by Radio Študent, went abroad and soon felt the need to release the material and show it to a wider audience. The songs of Čao Portorož can be considered a hommage to alternative rock of the 1990s and a tribute to the new wave formulas of the Yugoslavian “school”.

“So we would almost dare to claim that Čao Portorož are tackling the third album introspectively, but that its title – despite individual pop elements – is still quite cynically set. But like the ever-evolving minestrone of languages, styles and humor, this time too it reaches the right boiling point – and inevitably convinces.” Matej Holc, Radio Terminal
