Ljubljana’s eccentric post-punkers Ludovik Material have managed an amazing feat. September 15th saw the release of their single »Model Generation« through the notable English platform and label Louder Than War.

After their critically well-received Spring release Model Generation, which was put out by Slovenian-based independent label KAPA Records, the band played most of the biggest European music festivals (Liverpool Sound City, Inmusic, Exit itd.), but it was Slovenian’s MENT Ljubljana where they made their big break. They caught the eye of the legendary musician and journalist John Robb, who did the first big interview with Nirvana in 1989 and forged the phrase »britpop«. Robb named Ludovik Material as his new favourite band. »They sound quite fantastic and their youthful take on the post punk interzone is one of the best I’ve heard for years,« he wrote in Louder Than War. And now, John Robb digitally released Ludoviks’s single on Louder Than War’s label.
