The Slovenian shoegaze band Haiku Garden announces European Tour in November!
Where, if not now?! Armed with the highly anticipated debut “Where If Not Now”, the band played through the local and European club and festival stages for the whole year. Now they’re hitting the road again.
Following the winter tour across the Balkans, where their popshoenoisegaze has infected 10 cities, the autumn tour calls for the North.
They’ll perform in seven cities, within five countries. Their journey begins in Slovakia, continues across Germany and the Czech Republic, in the meantime, making a quick stop in the Netherlands and ending the Tour in Italy.
Dates:
07/11 – Dunajska Streda, SK, NFG klub
08/11 – Chemnitz, DE, Lokomov
09/11 – Prague, CZ, Nouvelle Prague
10/11 – Enschede, NL, Planet of Sound
12/11 – Aachen, DE, Sogrady
14/11 – Bamberg, DE, Pizzini
15/11 – Munich, DE, Bürgerhaus Glockenbachwerkstatt
16/11 – Bolzano, IT, Batzen Sudwerk
Anže, Matevž, Klemen and Luka are part of the strong Slovenian alternative scene. As the first Slovenian shoegaze band they’ve opened up a new sound image in their home country. Smudgy guitars, dreamy vocals, their own vision of shoegaze and noisy outbursts make up an addictive audio image. Their performance is enhanced with the dreamy, yet intense visuals, controlled on the spot, by the fifth member Kristina.
Following the critically acclaimed EP “Waver” (KAPA Records), the band released their debut album “Where If Not Now” last October. Among other things, it was selected as the best home record of the year in the Slovenian magazine Mladina, and landed on the Muzika.hr portal as the second best album from the ex-yu region.
“From beginning to end, the album moves without obvious hits, but as a rounded whole you can sink into and stay in for several days. Each note is in its rightful place, each melody is catchy, each moment contains something that could finally push Haiku Garden outside of Slovenia’s borders.” MUZIKA.HR
They opened for the legendary SUUNS and The Jesus And Mary. They can show off with a rich collection of concerts across the YU region, Poland, Lithuania, France, Austria, England, Spain and all the way to Moscow.
They are taking over new cities and new venues in November. Before that, catch them at the unique concert with DJ / producer Dulash on October 24 at the K4 Club in Ljubljana, where they will present their new “kraut-electronic-psychedelic-shoegaze” material as part of the one-week Dvocikel residence in Kranj.
x October 24th @ Klub K4, Ljubljana
