Bowrain says “Slow Down”

Bowrain presents the new single “Slow Down.”

The minimalist and experimental sound piece is based on the piano phrase, created as an improvisation at the Pianoroom Studio with the Ljubljana-London producer YILA (Allstair Mcneill). By incorporating radio recordings and expressive string inputs by the cellist Ema Kobal, the song leads to a cathartic conclusion. It culminates with the recurring mantra “Slow down” by the lead vocalist of the South African collective The Brother Moves On, Siyabonge Mthembu (Hymn Self), who already performed in Ljubljana at Druga godba 2018.

The single “Slow Down” is one of the results of Bowrain’s visit to Johannesburg last year, where he collaborated with the mentioned collective.

The video was created by Slovenian visual artist Tjaša Gnezda.

With this single, Bowrain also announces his new collaborative project 2020Seconds (A) live, which will premiere on January 24, 2020 at Kino Šiška.
